​Seeking a responsible, organized, and nurturing live-out House Manager / Nanny (M/F) to provide comprehensive household management and childcare services for a family with 2 children ages 3 and 7 years old with. They are a conservative family who take pride in traditional values. Looking for someone who can support the family before and after school with 1-2 days on weekends, flexible.

The ideal candidate (M/F) is energetic, active, has a positive attitude, a passion for helping kids thrive, has maternal instincts, is self-motivated, and is willing to jump into the kids' lives to provide an enriching force for their success. Must be able to work as a team with other staff in the home.

Responsibilities

Childcare:
  • Provide attentive, safe and nurturing environment care and supervision for two children (ages 3 & 7) always ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Plan and engage the children in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities, including outdoor play, crafts, reading, and other creative pursuits.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children, accommodating any dietary restrictions or preferences.
  • Assist with homework, school projects, and educational development as needed.
  • Manage the children's daily routines, including school drop-offs/pick-ups, extracurricular activities, and bedtime routines.
  • Organize and supervise playdates, appointments, and social activities.
  • Maintain open communication with the parents about the children's progress, behavior, and any concerns.

Household Management:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the household, security, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient living environment.
  • Perform housekeeping duties, including tidying up, laundry, ironing and managing household supplies.
  • Coordinate with service providers (cleaners, gardeners, maintenance workers) as needed.
  • Handle household budgets, inventory, ordering supplies, grocery shopping, meal planning, and preparation for the family.
  • Manage household errands such as dry-cleaning, post-office visits, and other tasks as required.
  • Assist with organizing family schedules, appointments, events, and travel plans.
  • Ensure the home is child-proofed and always meets safety.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in housekeeping and childcare within a private household or luxury hospitality environment.
  • Strong organizational, leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Discretion and the ability to always maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Experienced enough to train and manage other staff.
  • Driver’s License with clean MVR is a must.
  • Proficiency in using household management systems or software is a plus.

Work conditions

  • Flexibility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the family's schedule.
  • Physically capable of performing the duties of the role, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
