Job description
Our high-profile client is looking for a Live-in Governess/Nanny to join their family MacDonald Highlands, Henderson in Nevada, U.S.
They have very high standards therefore they are looking for someone with a good eye for details and previous experience in similar settings, to help look after their two children aged 5 & 8 years old.
Responsibilities
Provide attentive care and supervision for the children, always ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Assist with home schooling activities, overseeing lessons, and providing educational support as needed.
• Incorporate French language education into daily activities to help the children develop proficiency.
• Plan and engage the children in age-appropriate indoor and outdoor activities, fostering their creativity and intellectual growth.
• Organize and facilitate playdates, outings, and extracurricular activities to promote socialization and skill development.
• Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children, considering any dietary restrictions or preferences.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the children's living spaces, including their bedrooms and play areas.
• Collaborate with parents to establish and maintain consistent routines and disciplinary strategies.
• Accompany the family on trips and vacations, providing childcare support as required.
• Drive the children to school, appointments, and extracurricular activities using provided transportation.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding the children's progress, achievements, and any concerns that arise.
• Foster a nurturing and supportive environment where the children feel loved, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Requirements
Prior experience working as a nanny or governess, preferably in a similar role with school-aged children.
• Fluent in French, with the ability to effectively teach and communicate in the language. Would be an added bonus.
• Genuine passion for working with children and helping them learn and grow.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Patience, empathy, and a nurturing demeanour towards children.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and provide references.
• Ability to live-in and commit to a long-term position.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel with the family as needed.
• CPR and first aid certification (preferred).
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
