Job description

A lovely family of 5, with children aged 13, 10, and nearly 2 years old, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Housekeeper/Nanny to care for their home in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and assist with childcare. The family is relocating from Italy to Amsterdam at the end of February 2024.

This is a long-term position lasting approximately 3 years. The role will primarily involve 80% housekeeping duties and 20% babysitting/childcare responsibilities.

The ideal candidate should be flexible, proactive, easy-going, and willing to integrate into the family dynamic.

Start Date: End of February 2024.

Responsibilities

Perform housekeeping duties including cleaning, tidying, laundry, and organizing
Assist with childcare and babysitting for the children
Maintain a clean and organized environment within the household
Support the lady of the house in the kitchen, including meal preparation, table setup, and post-meal cleanup
Preferably accompany the family on holiday trips

Requirements

Previous experience in housekeeping and childcare
Must be flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and tasks
Proactive and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Must be comfortable working in a household with young children
Fluency in English is required, knowledge of Italian is a plus

Work conditions

Job Title: Housekeeper/Nanny (M/F)
Position available: End of February 2024
Workplace: Amsterdam, Netherlands
Employment contract: Long term employment
Working hours: 44 hours per week
Monday to Friday, with 8 hours per day (4 hours in the morning and 4 hours in the afternoon/evening, with a long break during the day), plus 4 hours on Saturday
