Job description

A lovely and appreciative Swedish family of 5 residing in Marbella, Spain, is seeking a dedicated and versatile individual to join their household as a weekend Nanny/Housekeeper.

The family already has an amazing team during the weeks with their house manager, chef, housekeeper, and personal assistant.

This position will involve providing assistance on weekends, caring for the children (aged 4, 8, and 11), performing various household tasks, running errands, tending to our dogs, driving, and occasional travel with the family.

Domestic Couple: There is a possibility of considering a domestic couple who can additionally handle gardening, maintenance, and handyman tasks.

The position is live out. The family can offer assistance with accommodation for non-local candidates only for the first few months until the nanny/housekeeper/all-rounder finds their own accommodation in the area.

This is a permanent full-time position starting in August 2023.

Responsibilities

Childcare: Provide attentive and nurturing care for three children, aged 4, 8, and 11, during the weekends and when required during weekdays.
Household Duties: Perform general cleaning tasks to maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the house, ensuring it meets the same high standards as during the week. This includes making up bedrooms, tidying up throughout the day, and managing laundry.
Errands and Shopping: Run errands, such as grocery shopping and other household purchases, as needed.
Pet Care: Take responsibility for the well-being of the family dogs, including feeding, walking, and ensuring they receive proper care and attention.
Driving: Safely transport the family members, including children, to various destinations using your own vehicle. A valid driver's license and confident driving skills are required.
Light Cooking: Prepare lighter meals for the children when necessary, following provided recipes. If the family has guests during the weekend, assist with serving drinks and snacks.
Travel: Accompany the family on trips, especially during visits to Sweden (approximately 6 weeks in summer and occasionally up to 2 weeks for Christmas and Easter) and other holiday destinations.

Requirements

Fun and easy-going personality with the ability to take initiative and be proactive without constant instructions.
Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Swedish or Spanish is a plus.
Prior experience in childcare, and housekeeping
Must have a valid driving license and be a confident driver with own vehicle
Authorised to work in Spain
A trustworthy and reliable individual who respects confidentiality.

Work conditions

This is a weekend position, full day from Friday to Sunday, and Wednesday or Thursday evenings (around 40 hours a week in total). The family requires certain flexibility with the working hours during the children's school holidays and family travels.
Spanish employment contract will be provided, including 6 weeks of paid holiday.
