Job description

A family consisting of two adults and two children is looking for an experienced Nanny to take care of their eldest daughter. The young girl, aged 19, has a disability and attends a specialized institute on a daily basis.

The Nanny will be responsible for taking care of the young girl during after-school hours and full-time on weekends, and will be dedicated to providing a variety of activities that promote development, stimulation, and enjoyable experiences.

The candidate will support the family and provide reliable daily assistance, ensuring the well-being of the young girl. The position is located in Paris 16th arrondissement, with the possibility of accommodation (in an independent studio) and requires accompanying the family during their weekly travels to their secondary residence or on vacations in France and abroad.

There are horses at the family's secondary residence.

This is a full-time permanent position to be filled in September 2023.

Responsibilities

Take care of the child on a daily basis and ensure their physical and emotional well-being.
Willingness to learn pictogram communication to interact with the young girl, who understands spoken language.
Organize fun, educational, creative, and enjoyable activities.
Offer indoor activities such as reading, games, painting, singing, cooking, etc.
Provide outdoor activities such as walks, library visits, interaction with horses, use of the property's pool, etc.
Supervise daily routines (naps, activities, meals, etc.).
Prepare balanced and healthy meals for the child.
Be able to stay alone with the child for a few days in the absence of the parents.
Assist with toileting and dressing.
Take care of tidying up and organizing the children's space.
Occasionally manage the children's laundry.
Prepare luggage and belongings for trips.
Establish and maintain good communication with the parents at all times, inform them of their children's progress, and work as a team.
Respect and adapt to the parents' preferences and needs regarding discipline, routines, activities, and living or travel arrangements.
Accompany the family on trips within France or abroad and during weekends outside Paris.
Be available during school holidays to support the young girl in her daily life.

Requirements

Male/Female with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Experience with individuals with disabilities or knowledge of the disability situation is a plus but not mandatory.
Interested candidate in disabilities and enjoys developing and stimulating children.
Compassionate, reassuring, and able to provide a structured framework for the child.
Cheerful, smiling, joyful, and enjoys playing, singing, and laughing.
Honest, responsible, and completely trustworthy.
Empathetic, warm, dynamic, and capable of great flexibility.
Must Speak French

Work conditions

Job title: Nanny
Position available: September 2023
Workplace: Paris 16th arrondissement, with regular weekend travel (within the Paris region) and during school vacations (in France or abroad).
Accommodation provided during travels.
Employment contract: Full-time permanent (CDI)
Working hours: Full-time with 2 days off during weekdays (Monday-Tuesday or Wednesday-Thursday)
